Ian Lawrence

Prior to starting with Scott, Ian served six years as a sergeant in the United States Marine Corp with multiple tours to Iraq and Afghanistan.  After his military career, Ian worked in the recruitment and staffing industry in Raleigh, NC,  before joining a Fortune 100 Commercial Insurance company where he held multiple roles in operations, client management, and sales and distribution serving clients in the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic.

Ian received his Bachelor of Arts in political science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is also an Honor Graduate of the Marine Corps’ Leadership Development course.

Kassi O’Brien

Prior to joining Scott, Kassi worked as a Benefits Consultant for an independent benefits firm, partnering with clients to build competitive employee benefit plans. Kassi began her career as an industrial engineer for Milliken & Company, where she improved manufacturing practices and guided a team of employees to efficiently deliver quality product and gain market share. She then transitioned into a cost account role measuring their financial performance.

Kassi graduated from Converse College with a Bachelor of Science in economics and from Clemson University with a Master of Business Administration. She is also a graduate of Dale Carnegie and holds her Six Sigma and Supply Chain Management certificates.

Matt Taylor

Matt advises middle market companies on comprehensive employee benefits strategy with a specialized focus on group health captives, healthcare funding, plan design, utilization analysis, pharmacy, disease and health risk management.

Prior to joining Scott, Matt worked as a Client Services Specialist in Employee Benefits for Willis Towers Watson and Human Resources Manager with Empire Construction in Knoxville. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama.

In addition to his professional activities, Matt is actively involved in the local community serving as a Committee Member for Introduction Knoxville and a coach with Knox Youth Sports.

Forrest Belcher

Before joining Scott, Forrest worked in the group benefits industry for 11 years providing customized solutions and cost management strategies to achieve client objectives. Most recently, he worked in a leadership role at Guardian Life Insurance, managing a benefits team responsible for new sales, implementation and client retention.

Forrest graduated from the University of Dayton with a bachelor’s degree in marketing. He is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).

Russell Carter

Prior to joining Scott, Russell was a National Account Manager for Fahrenheit IT in Richmond, VA. In this role, he managed a geographically diverse sales team that worked to provide clients with high quality candidates and deliver customized staffing and project solutions. Under his management, the staffing and consulting firm experienced yearly growth of account revenue and gross margin. Russell earned his Masters in Business Administration in finance from the University of Texas at Dallas.
