Nathan Kerr
President
Nathan Kerr is the President of Scott Insurance. He was named President in January 2026 after more than two decades of progressive leadership within the firm. In this role, Nathan leads Scott’s day‑to‑day performance, sales, and growth initiatives, working closely with the CEO and fellow leaders to advance the company’s strategy and strengthen its value propositions for clients across the Southeast.
Nathan began his career with Scott in 2000 and helped establish the Knoxville, Tennessee office as a Commercial Risk Advisor. In 2012, he assumed the role of Branch Leader of Scott’s Roanoke, Virginia office and recently served as Practice Lead for the company’s Affordable Housing Practice Group, developing it into a model for specialized industry expertise.
Nathan serves on Scott Insurance’s Senior Leadership Team and Board of Directors. He has been a driving force in advancing Scott’s specialty practice strategy while remaining a strong steward of the company’s culture and mission to serve, protect, and improve lives.
Outside of Scott, Nathan is deeply engaged in the Roanoke community. He has served on the boards of the Jefferson Center (Chair), Roanoke Regional Chamber of Commerce (Chair), Roanoke Rescue Mission Foundation (President), TAP (Total Action for Progress), Shenandoah Club, Business Leadership Fund, Restoration Housing, and the Greater Roanoke Valley Development Foundation. He currently serves on the vestry for Church of the Holy Spirit and as a board member for Community Housing Partners. Nathan graduated from the Wayne Calloway School of Business and Accountancy at Wake Forest University with a focus in analytical finance.
