Hutch Mauck

Chief Executive Officer

Hutch Mauck is the Chief Executive Officer of Scott Insurance. He was named CEO in January 2026 after serving as President from 2014 to 2025. In his role as CEO, Hutch focuses on long‑term strategy, vision, and organizational success while continuing to guide Scott’s growth as an independent, 100% employee‑owned firm.

Hutch joined Scott in 1991 to open the Richmond, Virginia office, where he served as a Risk Advisor and Branch Leader. Under his leadership, the Richmond office grew into one of Scott’s highest‑producing locations and a model of performance and culture. He has served on Scott’s Board of Directors since 2003 and on the Executive Committee since 2009.

During his tenure as President, Hutch led Scott through a period of steady, values‑driven growth, including expansion into new markets. He championed the development of a new mission statement, strengthened Scott’s culture of ownership, and helped establish the Scott Cares Foundation, which formalized Scott’s long‑standing commitment to community service and empowers employee‑owners to support causes meaningful to them.

Hutch is a graduate of Wake Forest University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, and he holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU®) designation. He has been active in the professional and civic community, including service on boards such as Orchard House School and Southern States Insurance Exchange.
