Bethany Murphy

Vice President – Branch Leader (Roanoke)

Bethany Murphy was named Branch Leader of Scott Insurance’s Roanoke office in January 2026. She joined Scott in 2008 and became a Vice President in 2013. With nearly 30 years of experience in the insurance and surety industry, Bethany has served as a trusted advisor to companies across diverse industries, including construction, manufacturing, and government contracting.

Before joining Scott, Bethany spent eight years as Vice President at a large regional commercial insurance brokerage in Charlotte, N.C., where she counseled employers of all sizes—from small family-owned businesses to multinational corporations—on effective enterprise-wide risk management strategies.

Bethany earned a Bachelor of Science in biology from Wake Forest University and holds multiple professional designations, including Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Associate in Fidelity and Surety Bonding (AFSB), Associate in Claims (AIC), and Certified Work Comp Advisor (CWCA). Her expertise and strategic approach align with Scott’s philosophy of reducing clients’ demand for insurance through long-term risk management partnerships.
