Join John Pendleton with Scott Insurance as he discusses a big change within the Construction Industry with Spencer Wiegard of Gentry Locke. On January 1st 2023, a new law took effect invalidating pay-if-paid clauses in Construction contracts in Virginia. Spencer has a unique view of what led to this change and some of the exceptions to the new rule. Spencer was a part of a group of representatives from the industry who worked with the Virginia Legislature to craft changes to the law.
