Scott Insurance Names Kathy Ferrell to Board of Directors
Scott Insurance recently announced the appointment of Kathy Ferrell, Vice President of Benefits Operations, as the newest member of the company’s Board of Directors.
“I am excited to have Kathy join the Scott Board of Directors,” said Hutch Mauck, President of Scott Insurance. “Her strategic contributions have been invaluable during her long-standing tenure as an engaged leader at Scott and I know we will greatly benefit from her perspectives and ideas.”
Ferrell joined Scott in 2008 after serving as Director of Human Resources for 10 years. In her role at Scott, she has been instrumental in the growth and development of Scott’s Benefit Services division. Most recently, Ferrell led the design and implementation of a new advanced professional development program for Benefits team members in 2021, Scott Benefits L.E.A.D.
“I am incredibly honored by this opportunity and look forward to serving my colleagues in this new capacity,” remarked Ferrell.
Ferrell received a Bachelor of Science in business administration from Old Dominion University, with a concentration in human resource management. She also currently serves on Scott’s ESOP administration committee and previously served on the advisory committee for the University of Lynchburg’s College of Nursing.
