Ian Lawrence Joins Scott Insurance as Benefits Consultant in Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C., March 19, 2018 – Scott Insurance has appointed Ian Lawrence as a Benefits Consultant in its Charlotte office.

Lawrence joins Scott with seven years of experience working in employee benefits and insurance. As a Benefits Consultant he advises middle-market companies on comprehensive employee benefits strategy with a specialized focus on group health captives, healthcare funding and plan design.

Prior to joining Scott, Lawrence served for six years as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps, with multiple tours to Iraq and Afghanistan.  Following his military career, he worked in the recruitment and staffing industry before joining a Fortune 100 commercial insurance company where he held multiple roles in operations, client management, and sales and distribution serving clients throughout the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic regions.

Lawrence received a Bachelor of Arts in political science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is also an Honor Graduate of the Marine Corps’ Leadership Development program.
