Scott Insurance Breaks Ground on Expansion Project in Lynchburg

Scott Insurance, headquartered in Lynchburg since 1864, has officially broken ground on an expansion project located at 1300 Old Graves Mill Road in Lynchburg, directly across the street from the company’s existing headquarters.  Upon completed renovations, the addition of the 17,626-square-foot building will significantly increase the company’s capacity in Lynchburg.

“We are excited to be expanding in our hometown,” said Keith Mann, Scott’s Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer.  “Our existing building has been at capacity for some time and we are thrilled to have found a solution so close in proximity to our long-time headquarters that will meet the needs of our employee owners and position us well for continued growth in the years to come.”

Scott Insurance currently employs 119 individuals in Lynchburg and has operations throughout the Southeast with total employment of 335.Scott Insurance purchased the additional property in July 2019 and retained the services of Glass & Associates, Inc, for design services and to complete significant renovations, which are expected to be completed in September 2020.  Once open, the new building will house up to 60 employee owners in a combination of offices and open working space.  Additionally, the building will feature significant meeting space, a multipurpose room, employee break room, creative studio and locker rooms for on-site fitness and wellness activities.
