The Roanoke, VA, office has helped companies in Southwest Virginia with their risk management and employee benefit needs for over 35 years. With 20 employee owners and growing, our risk advisors, underwriters, program specialists and service professionals help our business clients devise commercial insurance and employee benefits solutions to reduce risk, lower costs and optimize performance. Vice President Nathan Kerr, who joined Scott in 2006, serves as the Branch Leader and has been instrumental in the growth of the company’s footprint in Southwest Virginia and also leads our Affordable Housing Practice Group. Our Roanoke team has vast experience and extensive knowledge in the affordable housing, hospitality and construction industries—markets and sectors that allow us to offer specialized consulting and niche risk management services.

The Roanoke team is active in the local community, serving in leadership roles for several civic and non-profit organizations including the Roanoke Chamber of Commerce, Jefferson Center, Business Council of the Roanoke-Blacksburg Region, Goodwill Industries of the Valley and Grandin Theatre Foundation. Additionally, employee owners enjoy volunteering their time to support the Roanoke Rescue Mission and Feeding America Southwest Virginia.
