Lynchburg, VA – Scott Insurance has once again been named a Best Practices Agency, a national recognition awarded by the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America (the Big “I”) and Reagan Consulting. This prestigious designation marks another milestone in our long-standing commitment to operational excellence, client service, and industry leadership.
Scott Insurance remains the only agency in the United States to receive the Best Practices designation every year since the program’s inception in 1993. This continued recognition reflects our commitment and dedication to innovation, performance, and delivering value to our clients.
More than 1,190 independent insurance agencies across the United States were nominated during this study cycle. For the 2026 study year, only 300 agencies qualified for and maintained their Best Practices Agency designation, placing Scott Insurance among the top-performing firms nationwide. The 2026 study year marks the second year of the current three-year cycle, during which participating agencies submit detailed financial and operational information for annual review.
The Best Practices Study, produced by IIABA and Reagan Consulting since 1993, is a comprehensive benchmarking analysis of the top-performing independent agencies across the country. It evaluates agencies on key performance metrics, including revenue growth and profitability, financial stability, expense management, and sales and operational productivity.
