Scott Insurance Announces New Board Appointment and Leadership Role for Bethany Murphy
Scott Insurance is pleased to announce the election of its Board of Directors for the 2025–2026 term, welcoming Bethany Murphy, Vice President, as the newest member.
Murphy, who joined Scott in 2007 and was named Vice President in 2013, brings nearly three decades of experience in the insurance and surety industry. Throughout her career, she has served as a trusted advisor to organizations across diverse sectors, including construction, manufacturing, and government contracting.
Reflecting on her nearly 20-year tenure at Scott, Murphy shared her enthusiasm for this new chapter: “Serving on the Board is especially meaningful to me because it’s here – at Scott. I’ve been here for 18 years, I’ll retire from here, and it’s where my friends, colleagues, and teammates are. I get to give back to them in a different way than I have been able to previously.”
In addition to her Board appointment, Murphy will assume the role of Branch Leader for Scott’s Roanoke, Virginia office beginning January 1, 2026.
