Mike Philhower joined Scott Insurance in 1995. He works out of Scott’s Richmond office where he manages a client portfolio that includes traditional property and casualty insurance, captives and group self insurance placements.

A little more information about Mike
Before joining Scott Insurance, Mike was a commercial underwriter with The Hartford, specializing in long term care facilities and construction industries. He is a member of LeadingAge Virginia, Virginia Association for Home Care and Hospice, and HCCA and manages several of these associations’ largest members. Mike currently serves on the Board of Directors of Seven Hills School in Richmond. He graduated from Florida State University with a degree in finance and risk management.
