Jim Redmond

Jim Redmond joined Scott in 1990 as an account executive, serving clients in that role for several years. In 1994, with a growing passion for risk management, he founded Scott’s Risk Performance Group, which has grown to a team of over 30 risk performance specialists.  In addition, Jim is a founder and Director of HealthWorks Occupational Medicine and oversees Scott’s five CRT facilities for Occupational Medicine. 

Jim earned his Bachelor of Arts in American Government from the University of Virginia and was a member of the 1989 UVA ACC Championship football team. He received training at ITT Hartford Underwriter School.


Sean Willoughby-Ray

Sean joined Scott in 1998 and has over 15 years experience in the field of employee benefits. Based out of the Scott Greensboro office, he has been an integral part in the ongoing development and implementation of Scott Benefits’ risk management and employee benefit strategies and currently serves as Head of Practice for the Benefit Services group.

Sean is a certified Registered Health Underwriter (RHU). He is a graduate of the University of Alabama with a degree in Corporate Finance and Investment Management.

Craig Ryder

Craig joined Scott Insurance in August of 1994, and in January of 1995 was promoted to Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer. He has responsibility for all financial, operating and recruiting activities of the company.

Prior to joining Scott, Craig was a CPA with Peat Marwick for 5 years, specializing in Real Estate, Construction and Taxation and served as a Construction and Development Executive. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business and Accounting from James Madison University in 1981 and his CPA license in 1982.

Erik Koroneos

Erik Koroneos joined Scott Insurance in 1986 and has served on the Board of Directors as well as the Executive Committee. Throughout his career, Erik has played a leadership role in the development of the sales force, strategic direction of the company and product development.

Erik is a graduate of Hampden-Sydney College with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics.

Nathan Kerr

Nathan is Vice President and Branch Leader of Scott’s Roanoke, Virginia office. Nathan began his career with Scott in 2000 in Knoxville, Tennessee as a commercial risk advisor. He relocated to Roanoke in 2011 to manage the Roanoke office.

Nathan earned his Bachelor of Science in Business, with a concentration in Analytical Finance from the Wayne Calloway School of Business and Accountancy at Wake Forest University. He serves on the Board for numerous civic organizations including Roanoke Regional Chamber of Commerce, Business Council of the Roanoke-Blacksburg Region, Jefferson Center and Roanoke Rescue Mission Foundation .
