Hutch Mauck

Hutch, an insurance industry leader with over 25 years of business experience, became president in January 2014. He joined Scott in April 1991 to open the Richmond, Virginia office, where he served as a risk advisor and the branch leader.

Hutch has been a member of the Scott Board since July 2003 and on the Executive Committee since May 2009. He is a graduate of Wake Forest University with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics in 1987 and earned his CPCU designation in 1995.

Andrew Chambers

Andrew is Vice President and Branch Leader of Scott’s Charlotte office. He joined Scott Insurance in 2001 as a proven producer of commercial property and casualty business.

Prior to joining Scott, Andrew spent 7 years as a casualty claims adjuster, and then underwriter, for a large insurance company. He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and is active in a number of Charlotte region volunteer organizations.

Bret Grieves

Bret joined Scott in 1994 to open and lead its Greensboro office.  In addition to his branch leader role, he is Vice President at Scott and has served on the company’s Board of Directors since 2003 and on the Executive Committee since 2009.

Bret is active in his community, serving as an elder for Hope Chapel and a board member for Caldwell Academy. He is a graduate of Hampden-Sydney College where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics.

Bo Hawthorne

Based out of Scott’s Richmond office, Bo has been an integral leader in the ongoing development and implementation of employee benefit strategies to help manage the risks of employer-sponsored healthcare plans. Due to his success in helping Scott Benefit Services achieve significant growth, Bo has qualified for the Scott President’s Club nine times during his tenure with Scott.

Bo is active in his community, serving on the board of River Road Baptist Church’s preschool and as Chief for his son’s YMCA Y-Guide tribe. He is a graduate of James Madison University where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration with focuses on Computer Information Systems and Marketing. He is also recognized as a leader in the industry and has served on a variety of Broker Advisory Boards including Anthem, Optima and United Health Care.

Jayme Johnston

Jayme is the Vice President of P&C Operations and Risk Performance.  He began his claims career in 1986 bringing to Scott Insurance an impressive expertise in workers’ compensation, liability and property claims.

Jayme’s previous work experience includes multiple technical and management roles in the claims departments of other insurance firms, including PMA, AIG and Chesapeake. He holds a B.A. in Business Administration from Lycoming College and has also earned a designation as Certified Insurance Counselor.
